What is the Trim App and how does it work?
You may be aware that the Fintech (financial technology) industry has been growing in recent years. There are many apps and products that can help with everyday finances.
Trim is one such technology. Trim offers a number of features that will help you to organize your finances and understand what you are spending.
Here is a quick overview of how Trim works.
Trim is your personal assistant who keeps track of all your finances and notifies you about various things.
This application analyzes your spending habits and provides recommendations on how you can save cash.
It goes deeper than just that. Let’s look at the features of Trim to see what it can do for you.

Trim makes the most of your money
Trim is your AI assistant and it works for you to help you save more money.
After you have connected your accounts, the app will scan for recurring charges and send you text messages to let you know what’s going on.
Trim is able to handle other aspects of your finances in addition to the information provided above.

Negotiate Your Bills For You
In today’s world, we expect things to be done quickly and for us. Trim offers this feature, whether you consider it laziness or convenience.
Our bills seem to be increasing every year. Even though it may be just a few dollars, they add up.
Some of these companies hope you will not bother to contact them because you think it isn’t worth the effort.
You suddenly realize that you have wasted hundreds of dollars. You feel like you are being ripped off.
Trim can be of assistance in the following areas.
Trim can negotiate your rates and make sure you get the best deal possible. Trim has a wide range of clients, including well-known companies like Comcast Time Warner Verizon and most other providers.
How long does it take to trim?
You might wonder how long it will take Trim to negotiate on your behalf. Negotiating bills can be a lengthy process.
Trim will move quickly on your behalf as soon as you approve it.
If they are able to negotiate on your behalf and save you money, your bills will reflect this in no more than 1-2 months.
Trim will also let you know if it appears that there are more opportunities to save money in the future!
Find and cancel unwanted subscriptions
Have you ever signed up for something random? Maybe it started as a trial and then became paid but you let it go? Many have.
You may also shrug and pay if it is difficult to sit down and go through all the information.
Trim will find all transactions and recurring payment types.
Trim can then handle the cancellation of unwanted subscriptions on your behalf. You can get your money back each month with just a click.
Reduced Bank Fees and Interest Rates
Do not even begin to mention the outrageous interest rates and fees charged by banks for credit cards. Some of these financial institutions charge outrageous fees.
You’ll know exactly what I mean, such as those “random” transfer fees or maintenance fees. You’ve probably seen them before if you use a big, well-known bank. It’s the reason I am starting to like online banks instead.
Trim is able to negotiate bills with the banks and get them to waive or refund fees.
You can use the app to lower your high interest rate credit card by using the same app. Boom!
High Yield Savings account
These days, it seems that almost every financial application or service offers a high-yield savings account.
It seems random to me at times, given the possible applications. Credit Karma started offering this option not too long ago, but it’s good to have other options.
Trim offers high-yield savings accounts that you can take advantage of if you want. Their offer is also pretty good.
After $2,000, you’ll receive a bonus of 4% annually and just under 1% in interest. All funds added to Trim’s savings account are FDIC-insured up to $250,000.
It’s important to make sure your money is protected in the event that something happens to the company.

Trim App Review
All of this sounds amazing, right? It’s a great idea that is simple and will help you to take on financial tasks that you may not have wanted to do.
Trim is a free program, but does it cost to use Trim?
Freemium is a model that allows users to download content for free.
Trim accounts are free to sign up, but there are some restrictions.
You will have access to your free account, which includes a dashboard for personal finances, customized alerts and reminders about spending, the detection of any overdraft charges, help in finding and cancelling older subscriptions, etc.
That’s pretty cool! It’s a pretty good deal of features for a free edition.
The model is paid
Any financial company is a business that needs to find some way to generate revenue. Trim’s website explains how it makes money.
There will be a fee if you want to use Trim Simple Savings and the features of bill negotiation, debt repayment, or Trim Simple Savings. These features are paid for in different ways and you will be informed of the details before signing up.
Let’s look at the bill negotiation function as an example.
Trim will take a little over 1/3 (33%) of the total savings you make each year if they are able to negotiate on your behalf and save you money.
If they saved you $10 per month for 12 consecutive months, they would only charge $40. You still get $80.
Trim also receives payment from third-party partners such as credit card companies for referring them customers. It is standard practice for most financial companies. However, you may choose to ignore these offers.
Is Trim Safe?
The safety of financial information is one of my main concerns, as it should be for all of us. You might find it a little scary to link financial accounts in order to have access to all of them from one place.
When you look at any financial application or service, make sure to always check the security options.
Trim is a fantastic tool for protecting their users. Here are some of the features that help to keep your data safe.
Retail banking uses 256-bit SSL encryption as the standard.
Signing in to their site requires two-factor authentication (OAuth) and encrypted databases.
No data is shared with third party vendors
They use a service named Plaid to securely link to more than 15 000 financial institutions in the U.S.
Trim never stores or transmits your credentials. Your credentials are sent to your credit card or bank provider through Plaid. Plaid sends us an encrypted token.
You can revoke the read-only access token anytime.
Trim App: Is it Legit?
Trim is it legal? Yes! Yes!
Real-time alerts on your spending can help you stay on track.
It also helps you to see how much money you are spending on fees and bills.
Can’t you do it all yourself? Yes, 100% you can.
Trim cannot guarantee that it will succeed in every negotiation, just as if you were to do it yourself. Trim is a good option if you don’t like doing these things, want help and would rather not be involved.
Try it out for a while and see if you like it. It is worth trying out since it offers many powerful features that are free.
If you want the Trim app to be at its fullest potential, you’ll have to pay a few fees. However, it could be well worth it. Your preferences and financial priorities will determine what you choose.
Trim is adding new features that I am interested in.
